FAQs
What is integrative health coaching?
Integrative health coaching is a client-centered partnership that helps you create sustainable lifestyle changes that support your overall well-being. Together, we'll explore areas such as nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, relationships, mindset, and daily habits to help you build a healthier, more balanced life.
Who is integrative health coaching for?
Health coaching is for anyone looking to improve their well-being, develop healthier habits, navigate life transitions, increase accountability, or create lasting lifestyle changes. Whether you're feeling stuck or simply ready for positive change, coaching provides personalized support along the way.
What happens during a coaching session?
Each session is a conversation focused on you and your goals. We'll celebrate your successes, discuss challenges, identify opportunities for growth, and create realistic action steps that feel achievable before our next session.
What makes Rooted different?
At Rooted, coaching is never about telling you what to do. We believe you are the expert on your own life. Our role is to help you uncover your strengths, clarify your goals, and develop sustainable habits through evidence-informed coaching, compassionate support, and accountability.
Do you create meal plans?
No. As an integrative health coach, I do not prescribe individualized medical nutrition therapy or therapeutic meal plans. However, I can help you develop healthier eating habits, plan balanced meals, navigate nutrition information, and build routines that support your wellness goals.
Can health coaching help me lose weight?
Weight loss may occur as a result of healthier lifestyle changes, but coaching focuses on building sustainable habits rather than following restrictive diets or quick fixes.
Is coaching covered by insurance?
Most health coaching services are not currently covered by insurance. However, some employers, wellness programs, or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) may offer reimbursement. Check with your benefits provider.
Is health coaching the same as therapy?
No. Health coaching is not mental health counseling or psychotherapy. While we may discuss stress, emotions, and mindset, coaching focuses on future-oriented goals, behavior change, and building healthy habits. If mental health concerns arise that are outside my scope of practice, I can encourage you to seek support from a licensed mental health professional.
Is health coaching the same as seeing a doctor?
No. Health coaches do not diagnose, treat, prescribe medications, or replace medical care. Coaching complements the care you receive from your healthcare providers by helping you implement healthy lifestyle changes and stay accountable to your goals.

What should I expect from the discovery call?
